Major order – New MAN trucks for the THW
The MAN Truck and Bus German have been charged with delivering up to 210 vehicles by the procurement office of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior.
The MAN Truck and Bus German have been contracted to deliver about 210 team trucks (MLW IV) for the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief) by the procurement office of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI).
The trucks will be the tried-and-tested MAN TGM 18.290 with 4×4 all-wheel drive, leaf-spring suspension on the front and rear axle, crew cab and a wheelbase of 4,200 mm. The platform body/tarpaulin body of delivered MAN trucks is designed with a liftgate and Freytag Karosseriebau GmbH & Co. KG will provide this. However, MAN happens to be the general contractor for all the procurement project of the BMI.
According to the Chairman of MAN Truck & Bus German Management Board, Holger Mandel, this order is a symbol that the BMI has genuine faith in MAN vehicles. It’s a milestone in a wonderful and long-established business relationship, motivating, driving us to make customer orientation number one priority in the development of vehicle and service.
